Autumn Withers

Autumn Lee Withers is an American writer, actress, and story coach based in Paris. A graduate of the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts and the University of Georgia, Autumn has accrued nearly four dozen acting credits in television and film over the past fifteen years, notably “Modern Family,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” and “Avalanche,” of which she is a producer.

Autumn has written eight television pilots and four feature films, ranging from romcom to women’s history to psychological thriller. Her female-centric scripts have garnered options and various commendations from Screencraft, Austin Film Festival, Sundance Episodic Lab, and HBO.

A former Radio City Rockette and devoted Francophile, Autumn is currently completing her first book— a romantic drama set across France.

Through her story coaching practice, My Story Shift, Autumn consults for studios, literary agencies, and entrepreneurs. She also mentors individual writers across multiple genres and helps them refine their stories for deeper resonance and commercial appeal.

Building on her advocacy for creative community, Autumn recently co-founded Creatives International, a global network to nurture and empower artists and visionaries, evolving from her earlier success as founder of the Hollywood Women's Collective (2015). A dedicated meditator of 17 years, Autumn is the creator of Presence & Pen, an online space offering presence-centered meditations and prompts to pen your truest voice (launching Fall 2025).

“GRITS is one of those rare scripts, in my opinion, that successfully marries really credible, finely drawn characters with wild n' crazy secrets and soap. And obviously, the world and atmospherics are such a draw.”
~Alec Strum, Original Programming Executive at MGM+
